It is the first time that Akademie BelCanto (ABC) can collaborate with the new Academy CONCERTANTE Barcelona, director Raúl Giménez, who has started his famous teaching in Bad Wildbad 2003 after a glorious career as tenor.
The project is quite different from recent years: A master class will be held in Barcelona and young singers will prepare LA CENERENTOLA in the original version of 1817. Later they will move to Bad Wildbad and work on a stage production of the opera. The only mature singer in this production is Bruno Praticò as Don Magnifico, one of the most famous buffos in the world.
A DVD recording of this production with the conductor Antonino Fogliani is scheduled.
Raúl Giménez will continue teaching in Bad Wildbad and there will be a master class concert as well.
